The vision for Rediuss was to create an active noise cancellation sound system at a room level. Due to a lack of resources (funds and qualified employees), the project was not viable and had to be shut down after 6months.
However in the process of creating the service I had the opportunity to work on an IoT project from scratch. I created several sound recording devices based on Raspberry Pi and Cirrus logic sound cards placed within a custom 3D printed enclosure. The sounds were only recorded after hitting a certain threshold, then sent via AWS kinesis and store to an S3 bucket using a lossless comprehension algorithm.
